Halcyon Gallery in London is presenting the first ever gallery exhibition of Bob Dylan's artwork on June, 14 2008. The series titled "Drawn Blank" is the most comprehensive collection of Dylan's work to be assembled. Many people don't know that for over four decades Bob Dylan has been a committed visual artist. The images are considered to be reflective of Dylan's experiences and ceaseless encounters with new faces and places during his years of touring. Interesting? RCA Dominates Billboard Top Ten and why you shouldn't care

RCA boasts their domination in the music industry today claiming three of the nation's top ten albums. Gavin Degraw at #1, Clay Aiken at #3, and Leona Lewis at #4. If that doesn't tell you something then let me fill you in. Big labels suck now more than ever. They can push anything they want but as long as American Idol is mass producing music like Twinkies, they're gonna sell the shit. You don't buy Twinkies people, they're gross and just very bad for you.

May's good news..and bad news

The good news is...summer is well on its way and will bring many fun concerts. The bad news is...Riverdance pranced into Atlanta today dropping it like it's gay1 until Sunday. ...Alpharetta got a new amphitheater at Encore Park...the bad news is The Eagles2 are the first big gig there and that's no way you christen a new venue, if you still listen to the Eagles please get out of my blog. ...James Taylor is playing Chastain on the 24th...the bad news is nobody cares...or has any idea how good a guitarist he is anymore...have you ever tried to learn Suite for 20 G?? No..you haven't.
BillBORED Charts

In this week's Top Rock Albums Def Leppard and Jack Johnson duke it out for first. Somehow I didn't get the memo that Steve Winwood is still around in the 4 spot with Flight of the Conchords not far behind. If anything this is the most eclectic group of artists I've seen to share the top ten top rock albums in a while.

Music in the ATL
To anyone who likes to go out and catch some live music and maybe earn money, there seems to be a lack of original songs by artists. I frequent the Virginia Highlands and Buckhead and hearing an original song is rare. Not long ago I tried giving a demo of my music to the bar owner of "MoonDogs." He asked me what covers were on the CD and I told him there are none on the CD, its all my music but explained that I can do plenty of covers. He then proceeded to hand the CD back to me and told me to bring back a CD with only covers on it. What an idiot, I can bring in 30 people on a weeknight but he has the same decent guy up there playing covers and brings no one. Don't get me wrong, I play many covers, but doesn't anyone appreciate creativity anymore?
